For us, every day is an opportunity to work together. We believe children are not merely spectators, but true protagonists who actively participate in designing, creating, and caring for the spaces they inhabit.

Our Identity

We see every child as an active participant in their own learning. Children arrive with theories, questions, interests and many ways of making sense of the world. Our role is not to fill them with information, but to listen closely, create rich possibilities and help their thinking grow. That belief shapes every part of school life. Teachers observe, ask questions and plan experiences that build on what children are genuinely exploring. Classrooms and outdoor spaces invite investigation, collaboration and creativity. Projects develop over time, allowing children to return to an idea, test it, represent it in different ways and share what they discover. Learning here feels joyful and purposeful because children can see themselves in it.

Our Purpose

We support the whole child: cognitive, social, emotional, creative and physical development belong together. Through play and hands-on projects, children learn to think critically, solve problems, communicate ideas, make decisions and work with others. Just as importantly, they learn to listen, care for shared spaces, respect different perspectives and contribute to a community. We want children to move through each stage with knowledge, confidence and a lasting desire to keep learning.

Our Team

Laura Fantini

Atelierista

Laura is an atelierista with over 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education inspired by the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy. Trained in Visual Arts and in the Reggio Emilia pedagogical approach including specialized professional development with Reggio Children, she designs creative learning environments where children explore and build knowledge through expressive languages and meaningful projects. Laura has worked internationally supporting educators in creating child-centered and interdisciplinary learning experiences. Laura has contributed to the field through conference presentations and publications on creativity and the role of the Atelier in children’s learning. At Play Based Projects, she also provides pedagogical guidance to teachers in developing reflective, project-based practices and creating pedagogical documentation.
